The film is focused on Sandhya, played by Sanya, who is a young widow who appears not be coping with the loss of her husband as expected by her family and the events in her life that unfold after the passing of her husband after five short months of her wedding. Sandhya’s whole family is concerned about her well-being who is holed up in her room after the death of her husband. The widow, however, is a constant surprise who is never shown shedding a tear while others wail around her, eats gol gappas and prefers Pepsi over chai, and is more concerned with the number of comments on the Facebook post about her husband’s death. A large sum of insurance money left behind by Sandhya’s husband however does change things. With everyone rushing to determine Sandhya’s fate and if she should remarry using the money or not marry and keep the money in the family and much more, Sandhya decides she wants to take charge of her own life.
Despite being a comedy, the trailer does invoke thoughts about what is the right way of expressing grief, or even if there is one?
The story of self discovery of a woman definitely comes from a unique point of referance and one to watch out for. Sanya looks promising in the role surrounded by a variety of seasoned actors like Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Sayani G uptaand others.
