Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj launches Kiran Bedi’s book ”Fearless Governance” in New York

GARDEN CITY, NY (TIP); Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, launched “Fearless Governance,” a book  authored by Kiran Bedi, a former governor of Puducherry, at a select gathering here on September 1, 2022. “Fearless Governance” describes Bedi’s experiences and experiments with governance during her 5 years as governor of Puducherry.

Chief guest, Ambassador Kamboj in her speech mentioned how she became an admirer of Bedi at a very young age when she was in school. She said  that her writer mother first mentioned to her about India’s first woman IPS Officer, Kiran Bedi. Ambassador Kamboj said she had  no idea that years later when she was posted at the Indian Mission as a junior officer,  she would have an opportunity to work  with Kiran Bedi at the UN. Ms  Bedi was on deputation to the UN as a civil Police Administrator.

The book release was  organized by the  New York -based “Group 30” under the aegis of India Vision Foundation.
