Embassy of India celebrates Ayurveda Day in Guatemala City

Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, in his inaugural speech highlighted the growing interest and importance of Ayurveda in Guatemala.

GUATEMALA CITY (TIP): The Embassy of India in Guatemala in collaboration with India Business Forum celebrated 8th Ayurveda Day on 20 November 2023 to promote the ancient Indian system of medicine. The event saw participation from 50 prominent dignitaries, companies, journalists, and friends of India who gathered in person. Dr. Preeti Apte Upasani, MD in Radiodiagnosis and a master in Yogashastra, conducted a comprehensive virtual talk from India. Her presentation delved into the myriad benefits of Ayurveda and its practical applications in daily life. Dr. Upasani is also a certified Therapeutic Yoga Consultant by AYUSH YCB, showcasing her interest in integrative medicines, with a special focus on Indian traditional medicines, particularly Ayurveda. The celebration witnessed engaging presentations from representatives of eminent Indian and Guatemalan companies, including Dabur, Organica Guatemala, Dunar, and Yoga Point. These companies showcased their diverse range of Ayurvedic products, reflecting the rich heritage and efficacy of Ayurveda. The presentations aimed to promote awareness and encourage the adoption of Ayurvedic practices in Guatemala.

At the end, the guests were provided Ayurveda products by the companies. The 8th Ayurveda Day celebration in Guatemala City was a testament to the growing global recognition of Ayurveda and its timeless relevance in promoting a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
