Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 to release in May after multiple delays

Actor Ajay Devgn is set to return as income tax officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2. He shared the film’s poster and announced the release date. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla among others in key roles. Raid 2 is set to release in theatres on May 1. The film was earlier slated to release on November 15, 2024, then postponed to 21 February 2025, but was deferred. Extensively shot in Delhi and Lucknow, Raid 2 promises another adrenaline-filled ride.
The first part was based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the IT department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s which distinguished itself from others for being the longest raid in Indian history, lasting three days and two nights.
Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production. Raid 2 is now slated to release in theatres on May 1.
