A complaint filed in Jaunpur court against 5 including Saif Ali Khan. The court fixed the date of October 27 for the statement of the complainant, who has alleged ‘indecent depiction of Lord Ram, Sita, Hanuman, Ravana in the film’s teaser, which was unveiled on October 2. Jaunpur’s Judicial Magistrate Ashutosh Singh has filed a complaint against five, including the producer of the film Adipurush Om Raut and actors Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, on the complaint of advocate Himanshu Srivastava. The court has fixed October 27 for the statement of the complainant. Srivastava alleged indecent portrayal of Lord Rama, Sita, Hanuman and Ravana in the film’s teaser that has hurt religious sentiments. Earlier, a plea was filed in a court in Delhi seeking injunction against the upcoming movie Adipurush, alleging it has depicted Hindu gods in an “unwarranted” and “inaccurate” way in its promotional video. The matter has been listed for hearing before senior civil judge Abhishek Kumar on Monday, October 10.

Adipurush is a mythological film based on the epic, Ramayana. Directed by Om Raut,the film will see Prabhas playing the role of Lord Rama and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. Made on a mammoth budget of nearly Rs 500 crore, Adipurush is all set for a grand release on January 12, 2023, ahead of Sankranti. The release date of Adipurush was postponed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Adipurush is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The storyline of the film follows Ayodhya’s king Raghava who travelled to the island of Lanka 7000 years ago.
