DALLAS (TIP): Launching the Dallas Edition of The Indian Panorama at the sprawling Cotton Bowl Stadium on the occasion of the legendary DFW Diwali Mela, attended by around 40,000 Indians, on November 2, Mike Rawlings, Mayor of City of Dallas, one of the fastest growing cities in the US, lauded the welcome enterprise of Prof. Indrajit S Saluja, Publisher-Editor of the paper and said Dallas, with a sizable population of Indian Americans, needed a community newspaper. He congratulated Prof. Saluja for having brought to Dallas the paper which already has a wide readership in New York area. He showered praises on the Indian American community for being enterprising and forward looking. He appreciated the great contribution the community was making in the growth of the City of Dallas and the US. Mayor Rawlings admired the way the community had gathered to celebrate Diwali. He congratulated the gathering on the festive occasion and spoke highly of the contribution of Satish Gupta and his friends and family in promoting Indian cultural values. He exhorted the community to preserve and promote their culture and be proud of it. Present on the occasion with Mayor Rawlings were Satish Gupta, President of DFW Indian Cultural Society and his colleagues that included Naresh Gupta, VK Gupta, UK Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Rajan Aggarwal, Vigyan Gotewal, RK Panditi, Trushna Patel, Kishore Fruitwala, Kalpana Fruitwala, Sante Chary, Gopal Ponangi and Ranna Jani, among others. The Indian American community has welcomed the publication of The Indian Panorama’s Dallas edition which will be available on stands every Thursday in the entire greater Dallas area.
