NEW DELHI (TIP): A Delhi court Friday granted bail to Congress leader Digvijaya Singh in a defamation case filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Nitin Gadkari. Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Sudesh Kumar asked Digvijaya Singh to furnish a surety of Rs.50,000. The Congress leader, who was present in the court, sought a copy of the CD produced as evidence against him. The court had earlier issued summons to Digvijaya Singh to appear before the court. The matter would be heard next Jan 31, 2013. The court’s order came on the defamation complaint filed by Gadkari Oct 1.
