New Delhi (TIP)- Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the nation on Saturday, marking the first anniversary of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple. Recalling the “centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle” that culminated in the construction of the temple, PM Modi emphasised its significance as a symbol of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
In a post on X, he wrote, “Best wishes to all the countrymen on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance, and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality. I am confident that this divine and magnificent Ram temple will become a great inspiration in the accomplishment of the resolution of a developed India.”
The Prime Minister also shared a video along with the post on X.
A grand three-day celebration, organised by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, began in Ayodhya to commemorate the occasion. The festivities, running from January 11 to 13, include cultural programs featuring music and art luminaries.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the event with the ceremonial ‘abhishek’ (ritual bath) of the Ram Lalla idol. Following the ceremony, he will address a public gathering at Angad Teela. Large crowds of devotees, including saints and spiritual leaders, have gathered for the event.
The entire Ayodhya Dham has been transformed into a spectacle of devotion and festivity, adorned with lights and decorations. District administration and trust officials have ensured meticulous preparations to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and visitors.
