GUWAHATI (TIP): The Aam Admi Party (AAP) has said people, who are collecting donations and maligning the party’s image in many districts of Assam, have been identified. The state unit of AAP found out such a case in the Autonomous District constituency on Wednesday.

Similar complaints were also received by the party units in Goalpara and Sonitpur districts. “We apprised Karbi Anglong SP of the matter. We are really concerned about such unauthorized activities which is maligning our image,” said Bhaben Handique, AAP’s state joint coordinator.

He alleged that such unauthorized acts are backed by politicians of some well-known political parties. “Most of the people who were caught collecting funds and blackmailing the public and other organizations in the name of AAP have links with big political parties. This is a conspiracy against AAP, which is gaining popularity among the voters who want a positive change in the state and the country by eradicating corruption,” said Handique.
