ATLANTA (TIP): C. B. Yadav, a South Georgia-based Indian American Republican activist and hotelier is facing serious allegations of election interference in Georgia.
A special grand jury in Fulton County earlier this year had recommended his indictment along with 38 other Trump allies, for their alleged involvement in election interference in Georgia.
Ultimately, only 19 people were charged in the probe including former President Trump and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
A judge on Friday unsealed the final report of the grand jury in which it recommended indicting Yadav along with other prominent names like Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, former senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, and others.
The special grand jury, which was set up to help with the investigations, met at an Atlanta courthouse from June to December of 2022, during which it heard testimonies from 75 witnesses on the question of whether Trump or any of his allies had sought to illegally overturn his 2020 election loss in the state.
According to a reliable source, Yadav came under FBI investigation in February this year.
American Oversight, a political transparency non-profit, has obtained copies of alleged phony electoral vote certificates from Georgia and six other states that were submitted to Congress as part of the failed attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
The fake electoral certificates were allegedly assembled to replace the valid presidential electors from their state, who had been chosen by voters in free and fair elections.
Yadav’s signature appears on the fraudulent electoral vote certificate from Georgia.
Yadav is on the Georgians First Commission set up by Governor Brian Kemp in 2019 to consider ways to streamline government regulations to promote small business growth. He also serves as a member of the Georgia Lottery subcommittee, which oversees Coin Operated Amusement Machines.
He is a well-known figure in the local political arena, residing in Kingsland, Camden County, South Georgia. In addition to his political activities, he owns and manages several hotels and motels in the region.
