NEW YORK (TIP): The Indian American community of New York metropolitan area hosted a farewell reception for India‘s Consul General in New York Randhir Jaiswal who is proceeding to Delhi to take up the next assignment as the spokesperson of India’s Ministry of External Affairs.

Prominent members of Jaipur Foot USA and Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA) organized a reception on November 22 at the Indian consulate in New York.

Consul General Jaiswal in his speech on the occasion emphasized on the need to involve Indian American youth in strengthening bilateral ties. Each one of you is a success story, and you’re the actual ambassadors. Prem Bhandari of Jaipur foot USA and a leading Indian American voice highlighted Mr. Jaiswal’s immense contribution in various fields – from improving consular services provided by the mission to resolving various problems faced by the community on many fronts. The sendoff was attended by a large number of community members.
