WESTBURY, N.Y. (TIP): Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) congratulated Beverly R. James of the Hempstead-Uniondale Rotary Club after her installation as District 7255 Governor during ceremonies held at Westbury Manor on Wednesday, July 10.
A Rotarian for 15 years, James assumes this new role after serving as Assistant Governor for the Williston Park, Mineola-Garden City, Hicksville-Jericho and Hempstead- Uniondale Clubs. In addition, she served as a member of the District Foundation Committee and sub-committee chair for Peace Fellow Scholarship and is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute. Within the Hempstead-Uniondale club, she is a past Foundation Chair, has served two terms as President and two terms as Secretary. “Beverly James is an outstanding public servant whose commitment to uplifting the residents of Hempstead and fulfilling the noble mission of Rotary is unparalleled,” Legislator Davis said. “It has been a great privilege to witness her growth as a community leader, and I am excited to work with her and her Rotary colleagues on future projects to enrich the lives of Nassau County residents.”
