Legislators Mulé and Koslow Honor Retiring Freeport Superintendent Dr. Kishore Kuncham

Nassau County Legislators Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined the Freeport school community for a retirement celebration honoring Freeport Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham.

UNIONDALE / FREEPORT, N.Y. (TIP):Nassau County Legislators Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) joined the Freeport school community at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Uniondale on Friday, June 21 for a retirement celebration honoring Freeport Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham.

“Through his 35 years of committed service to the students of Freeport – and 15 years as Superintendent – Dr. Kuncham was a unifying leader of Freeport’s diverse and vibrant school community,” Legislator Mulé, a former Freeport School Board trustee, said. “His holistic and comprehensive approach to education enriched the lives of my children and countless others, and we will be forever grateful for the impact he has made upon our community.”

“Under Dr. Kuncham’s leadership, Freeport achieved record graduation rates and opened doors to world-class opportunities for a generation of students,” Legislator Koslow said. “His dedication to education, arts, and wellness initiatives has left an indelible mark, and his tenure epitomized the very best of what public education has to offer. While we will miss him tremendously, we salute Dr. Kuncham for his advocacy for Freeport’s students.”
