HERNDON Sep 29: ORI, a research and analytics firm that focuses on strengthening customer relationships, today announced the promotion of Indian American Techie Paresh Patel to Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
“With more than 20 years of experience in software development, systems analysis and management, quality assurance and IT security, Paresh is a strong addition to the ORI leadership team,” said Kathy Benson, ORI’s CEO. “The technological solutions he has developed and implemented have helped address our clients’ data management challenges. As CTO, he will enhance the ability of ORI’s public and private sector clients to fully realize the value of their informational assets.”
Patel has been with ORI since 2013, serving as a Senior Technologist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on the Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey and Quarterly Collection of Employment and Wages (QCEW) census programs. In this capacity, he managed key economic data for millions of establishments in the U.S. His notable accomplishments include developing a large, scalable web database application that ensures data quality and enables visualization of data irregularities for real time analysis and editing. In addition, he orchestrated the migration of ORI systems to a cloud-based infrastructure and created a variety of data-driven systems and tools that accelerate client deliverables.
Patel holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Roosevelt University and a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He has completed post-graduate work in software engineering and financial mathematics.
