CHICAGO (TIP): Continuing its initiatives under COVID-19 care, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and Heartfulness Wellness team invites all healthcare and medical professionals, caregivers, and covid care volunteers across the world for a series of webinars titled, “Virtual Covid Education Series”. These virtual sessions can be accessed without any fee at https://hfn.link/covideducation. The education series is presented in collaboration with Medicover Hospitals and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI). The sessions will be conducted by specialist doctors from India and the US with several years of experience in hospitals of international repute. The sessions will be broadcast over Heartfulness Wellness YouTube channel at http://hfn.link/covideducation at 6pm IST as per the schedule given here.
This virtual education series commences on Wednesday 26th May 2021. The first topic in the series is, Steroids in Covid: Using Without Abuse by Dr. Nanda Kishore, Consultant – Critical Care, Medicover Hospitals.
The topic will delve into critical points including, the phase of illness when steroids are initiated, the types of steroids, form, dosage, duration, time of steroid initiation, the effective use of a combination of steroids and immunomodulators and also minimizing the side effects.
