FBI agents raided three regional cancer centers in the Greater Cincinnati area run under the supervision of Indian American radiation oncologist Dr. Prakash Patel, Feb 23, as part of a federal investigation, an FBI spokesman said.
Federal agents went to the Clermont County Cancer Center in Batavia, the Adams County Cancer Center in Seaman and the Scioto County Cancer Center in Portsmouth as part of a federal investigation.
Officials with the cancer centers and the FBI refused to disclose details of the investigation that stemmed from a sealed federal warrant.
An FBI spokesman said patients should call ahead to make sure they will be able to receive treatment during their appointment time.
A woman answering the phone Tuesday at the Adams County Cancer Center said Patel “isn’t doing any comments” on the investigation.
