MORGANTOWN, WV (TIP): Dr. V.K. Raju, President of Goutami Eye Institute sent in a press note which said that Mr. Ram Mohan, retired Office Sales Manager of Geoffrey Manners, a Pharma company and Mrs. Amala Nagamani, retired Branch Manager of AP State Cooperative Bank, Hyderabad, desire that their self earned wealth should go for the service to mankind. They also believe that Goddess Durga bestowed on them her grace as well as the material possessions and hence they should utilise it for the well being of the fellow mankind. Recently, they approached Goutami Eye Institute, Rajahmundry, after hearing about their services and donated their house at Machilipatnam, in a plot of 832 sq. yards, to extend eye care services to the needy. They are simple and unassuming.
In line with their wishes, Goutami Eye Institute, Rajahmundry is planning to establish their Vision Centre and ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) Screening Centre catering to Krishna and Guntur districts. They are also planning to launch their program for Prevention of Diabetic Retinopathy in collaboration with GAPIO (Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) from this Centre during the 1st week of January 2018.
