NEW YORK(TIP): Gift of Life USA, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit special needs organization, founded by President Flora Parekh & Chairman Paresh Parekh, hosted their Annual Fund-Raising Gala this in New York, to raise funds for education scholarship support for autistic / special needs students pursuing higher education. The organization aims at helping the specially-abled in the areas of health, education and social awareness. Emceed, by Harshil Parekh, the young CFO of the organization, the Gala was a unique flow of inspirational performances by beneficiary special needs performers and motivational speeches by renowned special needs entrepreneurs and speakers.
“We are not all born the same, we are different, not limited. The key is when we turn this special ability in our favor and get inspired by very talented who have come a long way, overcoming all the limitations and stigma. The most beautiful day is the one when we put a smile on someone’s face!” Says CFO Harshil Parekh.
Included in the performers were several special needs individuals like Rachel Barcellona (Miss SouthEastern USA Ambassador 2018 & Miss SouthEast International 2017 – Diagnosis: Autism/Asperger’s & Epilepsy) pursuing higher college education, FREE Drum & Bugle Corps (A Special Needs Band Competing for World Championship), Special Needs Entrepreneurs John Cronin of John’s Crazy Socks (Down Syndrome) & Brittany Schiavone of Brittany’s Baskets Of Hope ((Down Syndrome), Motivational special needs speaker, author & TV Show Host Kerry Magro (Autism Spectrum), Andrea Matteo ( Young Jumba Dancer with Down Syndrome).
